In continuation of the work begun with I’m New Here, this collaborative work with Beth Dillon considers representations of nature and travel in contemporary consumer culture. A series of landscape studies in video, costumed performance and sculpture play with constructions of the wilderness and the image of the wanderer in fashion and tourism advertising.
 

The series included the creation of travel suits and accessories for the contemporary nomad. The accompanying video series follows a pair of wilderness pilgrims as they wander the Enschede, Netherlands woods, bonding with nature and each other. The third component, a mixed media sculptural installation, experiments with the collection and display of souvenirs as trophies of travel experiences.
